Unlearn-Demo 2010

Review from Stereokiller.com:
"Pennsylvania hardcore has another new band to look out for. Unlearn based out of Reading, PA are five pissed off dudes blowing off steam on this four track demo. This is a ferocious glimpse at Unlearn. The focus is hardcore, but clearly there is a huge metal influence. This is exactly what I think of when I hear the term metalcore. Not all the garbage that passes under the banner these days. It is impossible not to make obvious comparisons in the music with a band like Integrity. Impressive guitar leads and solos and without over indulging and sounding forced. The pounding drums and rumbling bass keep this demo moving with force. Vocalist Nick has a rough and loud delivery that is remarkably clear despite the nature of the songs. Lyrically these guys need a hug. From the opening shouts between the intro and first song it is obvious they have some animosity towards everything. The production on this demo is definitely something to make note of. Everything sounds clear without being too polished. Each instrument fits perfectly in the mix and the vocals lay over top just right, even the gang vocals have an impressive pop."

Mediocracy-Human progress,endless regress cd (2010)

Mediocracy come from Romania, actually they are the first punk band from this country that i discover thanks to Masken and Blogg as Fuck. Human progress, endless regress is their first cd after four years "constant line-up changes, problems in finding the right people, rehearsal places, money and so on" you can find more details about them here.
Human progress, endless regress is surprisingly much better than i expected and considering the country of origin makes it more exciting: Sound quality is great and unleashes the energy and power of band, there are some sludge emotional parts mixed with crust punk with some nice leading guitar parts and and brutal screamed/yelled vocals. Nine tracks recorded live in their rehearsal room and last over 38 minutes. The band offers the cd for free including artwork with lyrics. Well done guys, wish ya the best!

Life and Death-Rehearsal 2010

Life and Death is a grind/crust act from Argentina and include Nico (bass) who runs Hellbender blog. This rehearsal is one of their early recordings and consists of five tracks including some covers. Police Bastard and Utopia burns (strange choice, not an old ENT cover?) are great and well played, La muerte tu perdσn and Rencor are nice too. Vocals are brutal grunts, bands covered here are Doom, Extreme Noise Terror and Nausea (NY). The problem is the bad sound of recording but despite this shit the band members reveal their skills and deliver some goods. Nico told me that they have some new songs and new covers (Wolfpack, Terrorizer etc), i d be glad to listen new stuff by them

Faixa de Gaza-Live 29-95-2010

So here we are again, i don't know if this the come back or just a few random posts, time will tell, things are hard here and blogging is a kind of escaping from shit when there is some free time, anyway lets rock it:
Isaac, drummer of Faixa de Gaza sent me this live recording some months ago, (Gracias dude!). Faixa de Gaza hail from Brazil they include members Restrained Opposition and they have a demo recorded in 2008 and is posted here. The live recording delivers nineteen tracks of raw and noisy crust including a noisy cover of Doom's Lifelock, most of tracks last less than a minute (11:45" total running time), the band offers this piece of noise for free, grab it and torture your ears.
