Made in Sweden #3

The third part of Kang & Mangel - Crust Mayhem compilation series with bands coming from Sweden. This started during the last summer (six months ago) but laziness, boredom and no free time delayed it so long. Anyway here there are 32 bands and about 75 minutes of Swedish hardcore, crust, punk and grind. some bands are well known and some are not, none of these bands was included in the previous two compilations, the file is a bit large (90 mb) but it worth to get it if you are into scandi core
Next to come is a compilation with bands coming from Philippines for the Asian Crust comp series
And just cause someone may complain about this (yes it happened before) lets say the obvious and set things clear: This is a web compilation, not an actual release, all songs are collected from myspaces, there is no any profit out of it, just the spreading of word.
No more rant, now get it and dont forget #1 and #2

Ydintuho-Demo Tape 2008

Okay, back to the old continent. And,yup, were in the everfrosted Finland, but dont expect hardcore punk or anything like that. These guys blended some punk with some black metal, threw in some Motorheadish parts and made this whole thing crusted, maybe something like Darkthrone even, but with a bit more crustcore sound in the tunes, which to be honest, made me play this thing over and over.Ydintuho has released only this demo so far in their 3 years of existance, and did some line up changing on the way.The tape is self released, the first time on 15 coppies, and the second time, also limited to 66 coppies, which i think are all gone, but never the less,we have 4 tracks of pure finnish blackened crust, for which im preety sure will crush your crusty skull.Awsome drumming on all tracks, with black vocals and awesome motor driving guitar, bringing the cold of the finnish forests closer to your anger.Nuclear Disaster is the translation of the bands name, and thats exactly what you get on this january sunday.Have fun!!!

Deskonocidos-Demo 2008

Deskonocidos is a newer quartet coming from the states.Austin,Texas is where these guys come from. The band is formed around 3 years ago,and till now managed to put out about 4 releases, including this demo. Most recent thing from these guys is the Problemas 7'',and right after this demo they did a split with Sacred Shock,a former Hatred Surge members band, and have another ep on the way,for which i have no doubt itll be good as the previous stuff this band did.Now about this demo, its been released around end of 2008 with 6 tunes of raging raw punk rock played in spanish 80's punk manner but with some dark approach to the whole thing, though, this has r'n'r stuff all the way down.Need to mention also that the band's style has varied a bit since this demo, cause, what you hear here is a bit rawer than the newer stuff they have.Everything is sung in spanish, guitar drives you like an american musscle car,and drums vs bass just keeping the pace from behind.Crusties will probably start to hate me,or even say ive got mellow and old, but,if youre a fy fan, fan, theres a good chance youll dig this. They even toured the states together, just for info.Mean machine with raw punk and roll hardcore inferno wheels.Enjoi!!!

Seidr-Blood in the soil [demo 2009]

We ll stay in the States for a while but this is completely different to the previous post: Seidr is an ambient/doom quartet from Louisville, Kentucky and include A Lundr (Panopticon, Plainwords etc) and Crow from Wheels Within Wheels. Blood in the Soil is their four track demo recorded in 2009, the demo lasts for 39 minutes and is the perfect soundtrack for a rainy day or a gloomy sunset hour. Each song is a journey into the realms of doom and delivers guitar driven, slow and mournful doom metal while the last track is more into ambient-ish fields. A's vocals are rough, some leading guitar parts are really sick and the use of cello and piano bring a haunting ambient-ish atmosphere (check "Streamkeeper" and some parts of "The night sky..". This is emotional, heavy and depressive, early My Dying Bride and Anathema, Neurosis and even early Paradise Lost are some of their influences so you know what you got here, if you are into Asunder, Grief, God Speed your Black Emperor and the likes then this is for you.

there (pre-final mix version)

The demo in its final form starts with a two minutes atmospheric intro with a slight touch of Indian music and then the doom journey begins: Guitar is still heavy and thick and A's vocals are brutal, deep low and mournful, the final mix removed the raw guitar sound that reminded of Corrupted and now the whole thing is much more melodic yet still doomy and depressive and also very atmospheric and beautiful, looks like Streamkeeper and the rest tracks made a step closer to a common path.
The demo just came out in cd format, it will be available in shows only and despite the limited number of 50 copies it will be available as long as there is a demand for it. It comes in heavy card stock booklet, zine style with lyrics and artwork/lay out by A.Lundr, a patch is included, tracks are also in Seidr's myshit.

Salted City-Demo Tape

Even the winter isn't what it used to be anymore.Salted City is a bit weird name for a band, and honestly i dont know much about how this 4 piece outfit from Portland got their name.Doubt it even matters. What matters is what we get on this demo tape this band released the passed december.So,7 tracks total played and recorded on this demo, all in a hc punk fashion, with a bit more attention on the hc part, but still, its far from just hardcore, cause you can hear some preety good d beating crusted all over, kinda like detestation, plus, female vocal, which isn't brutal or anything, but i have to say it fits amazing with the tunes, like hands and gloves. And on each track ull hear some guitar tangling, maybe like discharged guitar solos, but with some rock edge to the riffs, but dont get misleaded, this thing is crust d beat from start to finish. And afcorse, some band history and info from their space page. All four members have previosly played in bands, the male part of the band is from coldbringer, the first guitar,a member from bumbklaat, which since 2010 was replaced with Grant from warcry, talk is poison, and as previously said, coldbringer. The female vocal was previously in call the police.Since my opinion is that these informations are completly irrelevant about the band itself,i'm gonna cut it.Track Hell on Earth is my fave, pick yours!!!!!

Stigma-Apokalipsa [promo 2008]

This is rough and metallic hardcore with a crust flavor from Zagreb, Croatia. Unfortunately their myspace has not any text in Εnglish so i have to blatantly copy and paste the following text from Armed Revolution:
"Band started to perform around 12. Mth 2007., Under the name "funeral company". At that time they made their first gigs and they recorded their first demo "Povratak Bombarderasa" with 13 things. Playing hardcore punk, themes are apolitical, describes todays situation of society and the individual in society. First band members were- Čeh-vocal, Klen-guitar, Gradski - BAS, Branko - drums, Backvocal.
After some arguments in the band Čeh has left the band and they are without vocal, but soon after that in the end of 2008 comes Vuk who replaces him, they started to do more stuff and they changed their name to STIGMA."

Mayat Baja-demo

Raw and sick hardcore/punk from Bandung, Indonesia: This is Mayat Baja's demo including a bunch of recordings, some probably taken from different sessions: There are seven tracks here, the sound quality is not the same in all songs, sometimes is raw and sometimes more raw and always the result is a merciless hardcore punk attack of noise with pissed vocals. they cover live a Casualties song, the download folder comes with a bunch of drawings and you can find much more in their myshit. Future plans iclude a split with Anti System (from Indonesia too). The band offers the demo for free in their myshit

Blood in our Wells-Demo

i digged this in Red and Anarchist Black Metal blog and its so fucking amazing demo so i can't resist from posting it here:Blood in our Wells come from Czech Republic and include members of Mass Genocide Process, Tomorrow's Hell and Abu Ghraib. The demo includes the three tracks that are available in band's my space, music wise this is a brutal Dis-crust blending of D-beat and (black) metal, vocals are hoarse and brutal, guitars have metallic tone and tempos vary from midpaced to fast and sound quality is dissent. Tracks deliver nearly thirteen minutes of brutality, there is no any weak point here, the band adds metal elements and manages not to sound monotonous by repeating the same d-beat riff. Great beginning, i hope for more by them, wish only there were more tracks

Skiplickers-demo 2009

The first post for this years is Skiplickers and their '09 demo: They come from Sheffield, UK and their ten track demo was recorded sometime in 2009. I don't know much about them, in 2009 they released Mindfucked 7" and members are/were involved in Bickle’s Cab, Warcrimes and Life Destruction.
The demo delivers ten tracks and nearly fifteen minutes of D-beat crusty hardcore full of energy and wrath blending UK hardcore with a D-beat riffs, songs mostly run fast or faster, vocals are shouted and angry, bass feeds the noise with heaviness and sound is dissent. A few Motorhead rock n roll hints here and there (check Drink, skate, puke) work really nice
Thanks to Chris for contributing this.
