Gädañü-Por lo Segao Demo 2009

Gädañü (Gadanyu,im just guessing) come from the northwest part of spain, and besides that info and the fact its a five member band, not really much else to say. This two guitar band plays swedish d beat crust but in spanish manners and add some screaming grindy vocals on the way. This is their demo release called por lo segao selfreleased this year and has 7 tracks on it of which 2 are covers(one hiatus and one state of fear),still, what youll hear on this isnt that close to those. All in all,i think most of you will appreciate this demo.

Violent Pacification-Demo tape 2005

Violent Pacification is a thrashcore band from France, they formed in 2003 and this is their five track demo tape. Their myspace has no any information about, just a few things about their beginning. Members were previously and currently in bands such as Morbid Collection, Hellbats, Servant Boys, Evil Dead and others. they played several gigs in France and Germany and if i translated correctly, the demo was recorded in 2005, the same time they started a distro called Thrashzone .
Their demo is a kind of D.R.I. worship. (they took their name from D.R.I.'s Violent Pacification 7"), they deliver raging thrashcore in the vein of R.A.M.B.O, Vitamin X, Municipal Waste and of course D.R.I., the five tracks last for 5:20", the cover includes some artwork and the lyrics( they sing in French). I don't know if they went on and released anything else, just drop a line if you know anything that could enlighten us

(A)xidanc(E)-Fuck war,i will live in peace in love and in freedom!

It's all started in the end of 2005, but till that time up to nowadays band has changed a lot, so we can say that it's a birth of the new band. In 2008 we've recorded a demo "Fuck war,i will live in peace in love and in freedom!". This demo was released during the armed conflict between Georgia and South Osetia. The name of that demo explains everything. But also there are songs about animal liberation and about our real life in this nasty world where almost everything is selling and if we won't fight, we will still be some kind of slaves.
This is female fronted raw and noisy crust: (A)xidanc(E) hail from Ivanovo, Russia and the text above was taken from their myspace. "Fuck war.." demo and a video shot from a gig in Saint-Petersburg from August '09 are available for free in their myspace. My pc can not read the Russian language in the .txt folders that are included so i can't tell more about them. The demo delivers five neo crust songs plus one live track in the vein of Leadershit, Ictus etc with dark melodies and desperate screamed vocals. Tracks are fast with some slower emotional parts, lyrics are in Russian, the sound is raw and noisy almost in the levels of a gig recording and feeds the brutality the band delivers.
Future plans include a split w/ Catastrofe (Lima/Peru) and a 3-way split Е123 (Kirov/Russia), Ground Zero (Tver/Russia, their demo will be posted soon)

Retcher-Demo CD

Retcher is a London based band, formed around 2007,with band memebers that previously played in acts as moral dillema, restarts, and they have a visions of war and give up all hope member, though i think hes not playing on this recording. This is their demo Cd released on pumpkin records in the u.k. around 2008.The demo has 3 tunes, played in the manners of a true fem fronted d beat hc punk band.I'd say maybe something like witch hunt and detestation, closer to the second one, since this is more crusty than witch hunt anyways.Still, you might expect a bit more mettalic flair in their tunes in future after adding second guitar, but think you will be satisfied with these tracks in the end.Enjoi!!

APPÄRATUS-Total Mangel Product Demo tape

APPÄRATUS is not so new band, since ive seen their name on couple of releases, they have a split with pisschrist also,if it helps you to get any idea what this 3 piece d takt machine is aiming for. This is their demo rereleased this year,on tape format by Disarmament records, and its limited i think to 123 copies or something.Anyway, the tape has 12 tunes of raw d beat crust punk with heavy doses of old swedish hc punk, with a raw recording, that makes this demo smell like some old swedish d beater left his shoes in the garage when the recording occured.Pissed off punk vocals, sounding a bit like kaoos, distorted guitar tunes, and heavy drum bashing, makes a great ambient for trashing the room,or whatever.Though, this is the demo, since the last stuff i heard on their space page sounds a bit different from this, with a cleaner sound and a bit more swinging to moderat likvidation/anti cimex kinda d beat, than to the raw punk sound they have on this. But anyway, thanx to Pat from Disarmament records that mailed this, you can score coppies of the tape there, and just to check the band up,try this Total mangel product and enjoi.

Cry Havoc-Demo 2009

And going back to Sheffield again.Cry Havoc is a 4 member band, formed recently by people who have been playing previously in War Crimes,so i guess this is kinda new start for the guys that played there, since musically, what you hear on this recording,is not far from War Crimes. This demo, which is put out only online i think, has 3 tracks of some driving d-beat crust equal by power to Wolfbrigade, but with a bit more mettalic touch i think. The bassist does the vocal duties, and theres two guitars in this, from which youll get driving that will lay you on ground, and on almost every track on this demo, they throw some blistering metallic solos. These 3 tracks plus 5 more will be on their debut release, which should be expected soon i guess.Have fun.

Within The Walls-st cd

I don't know anything about Cyprus scene, actually Nuclear Mutants is the only band i know coming from Cyprus and Entos ton Teihon (Εντος των Τειχων, Within the Walls) and their self titled cd is the first chance to discover an unknown scene. Google search gives no results and wikipedia has nothing about Cypriot punk/hc/crust
I don't know anything about the band, one of band members was previously in Nuclear Mutants. The cd was recorded and self released this year, the sound quality is dissent, music wise they move in the anarchopunk / hardcore territory, they deliver twelve tracks that last for about 41 minutes bringing hardcore riffs, fast beat with some slower parts and angry male shouting vocals. Some female vocals appear here and there while some leading guitar parts work really nice, sometimes they remind me of a greek hardcore band called Ekriksi Vias (Blast of Violence). Nice effort for a debut work, the guitar delivers some interesting riffs and has crusty flavor and the band manages not to sound generic. The cd comes with an amazing 32 page zine with lyrics and translation in English (they sing in greek), texts with information about the topics and explanation of lyrics, hopefully i will scan it some day. Lyrics deal with the usual topics (education, religion, drug addiction etc).

Defeat-Shadows of Fear Demo CD

Today we have yet another band coming from Malaysia.Defeat is a 4 member band thats playing crust d beat for few years now. This is their demo release on cd format on black konflik distro around end of 2007.This release has 6 tracks on it with a solid recording, maybe a bit too sterile, but i guess thats what i liked on it.The tracks itself are strickly swedish influenced, that means crust d-beat swinging towards wolfpack, but has some slow parts on this that are refering more to tragedy, but still, this is swedish to the bone, closest to Ambulance my guess. The vocal is also playing the guitar, and good thing is that crusting goes on english, with war lyrics, the second guitar just adds fuel to the whole thing and drumming plus bass are spot on.Still, this is just their demo release,so id expect better even better stuff from this Malaysian punx.P.S. thanx to Defeat that sent this for posting as well as the previous bands.Check the band...

Diseptic/Wormrot-split tape 2008

This is a split tape of Singapore grinders Wormrot and the grinding crustie Diseptic from Greece, brought to you by Noise Attack Distro:
Wormrot started as a death-grind act and after many line up changes they walked into the grindcore territory:In 2007 they recorded their nine track demo and in 2008 the "Dead" ep (selfreleased/Legion Productions & Speed Thrash Attack), the "Abuse" (Scrotum Jus Records) was released in spring of '09, that year the band toured in west/central Europe and appeared in Obscene Extreme Fest ,there are plans for some upcoming splits. Diseptic is one man grinding crust band from Greece and this must be their first release (there must be some demo recordings though).
Grindcore freaks will choose Wormrot side while the crust orientated will prefer the greek guy: Wormrot contribute ten tracks and twelve minutes of manic speed, grinding noisy guitars, distorted deep low growls/high pitched screams and nothing less than the usual gridncore paranoia.First five tracks were recorded for the tape, the rest are taken from older recordings but the quality is similar to the new stuff. Diseptic side is much more into grinding crust side of noise, the guy offers seven tracks balancing between grindcore and crust bringing tunes very close to Disrupt for approximately nine minutes. There are grindcore hints and D-beat as well, fast beat and brutal vocals, only a few slower moments, wish only there were more tracks and much variety with breaks, more slower parts etc but even what is delivered is good enough and wins my taste. The tape comes with no lyrics, according to Wormrot track list the last five tracks are taken from the '07 demo but actually are taken from "Dead" ep, sound quality is dissent for both bands and helps them deliver the brutality.
this was released by Noise Attack Distro in 2008, only 150 hand numbered copies were made, riping tapes is a pain in the ass but here is a copy for you:

Metalcrust from the russian thundras.Antimelodix is a band, coming from the northwest of russia, right on the border with finland, and i even think they talk finnish. But anyway, this band was formed in 2006 but didnt managed to record anything, they were just having some mini tours in sweden and finland, till this year. This is their,demo/promo containing 3 tracks of some really nice crust mixed with metallic beatings on the guitar, well mostly like some black metal throwed in a crust tune, but still, its a crust. This 6 member band has just put out their first cd release called ''Hellfuck'' on two russsian distros.Enjoi it!!

Otaku Party-Nouvelle Vague Demo 2008

More noise?Otaku Party is another noise punk band coming from France. This is a 3 people band, though im not really sure, since that might have been varying in the past, but anyway, this is a new band of some people that are playing this music a bit longer. The bass player has previously played in acts as car bomb and kuruma bakudan,he's the vocals in this also, and a state poison member on guitar. This,Lyon trio offers 13 tracks of noisy punk tunes with, well more anti capitalist, than anarchist lyrics, which keeps the french anarhopunk flair, but still, sounds quite like swankys, and maybe confuse. They offer the demo as an online release on their space, but are planning a tape format release with 3 more songs added to this.Till then, you can check this one out.

Pandemia Sistema-Demo 2007

Pandemia Sistema was a six piece act from formed in Chodziez Poland, they formed in '06 and the summer of '07 they recorded this seven track demo, in summer of '08 they played their last gigs and called it quits.
The demo must be their only recorded material plus some more tracks available in their last.fm page, the seven tracks last for about eighteen minutes, there are powerful male/female screamed/shouted vocals (plus some growls here and there) and lyrics in Polish, sound quality is excellent, music wise this is crusty hardcore with some nice guitar riffs balancing on the thin line between the genres. The band delivers much more power and aggression than other Polish female fronted bands such as Post Regiment, Eye For An Eye or Wlochaty. Rhythm section makes great work leading the band to fast or faster pathways. I don't know if there is any connection with other bands, they managed to create some nice songs without being a novelty or something groundbreaking, if they were still active they would have brought some more cool stuff.
