Relics of Future-Demo 2008

This is heavy stenchcore from Germany: Relics of Future come from the city of Ruhrpott,they formed in summer of 2007 and their first attempt was a five track demo recorded the same year. Because of the bad sound quality the band re-recorded the tracks in 2008. I don't know anything about them, their first bassist passed away and in 2008 they made a mini tour in Germany.
The cover artwork is misleading with the Discharge font and the battlefield picture (what you see here is their logo that is into crust aesthetic). Music wise the demo delivers heavy brutality blending the stenchcore of Deviated Instinct with the death metal/crust of Bolt Thrower's Realm of Chaos era: Heavy and thick tuned down guitars, hoarse vocals and slow/mi-paced drum tempos with some faster outbreaks, the whole shit lasts for aproximatelly 14:30".

Bastard Priest-Demo Tape 2008

Swedish dod metal.Bastard Priest come from Sweden from the city of Stockholm.These guys, as Swede's are used to,deliver a really nice demo,that crushes you to the ground.That is mostly due to the fact that this is old school Swedish death metal,but not in a nostalgic way,rather more with a crust approach to the whole thing.Even the last track is a Bombanfall cover,so you get the idea.This is released on cassette in 2008,dont think the band has any copies left but you could track some here.All in all,if you like your crust with some 90's death metal on it,this is it.

Passiv Dodshjalp-demo cdr 2008

Passiv Dodshjalp is a five piece act and come from Gävle,capital city of Gävleborg County, Sweden. They formed in 2007 and this is their eight track cdr recorded and released in spring of 2008 by Halvfabrikat Records, the band also released a split 7" with Livstid from Norway and is going to release a 12" mlp called Häng dom.
The cdr lasts for 17:30" and delivers some great tunes and the variety of riffs makes the whole thing really intreresting: Sometimes they sound like Skitsystem, sometimes they throw some hardcore riffs inside, sometimes they add some metallic hints and unexpectedly even some rock-n-roll riffs (check 'Helvetet tur och retur' s riff) but always staying in the crustcore-käng territory. the vocalist brings rough throatty vocals and the sound quality is good.
As conclusion:this is interesting demo and the variety of songs make it stand beyond the pit of bands that repeat the same and the same in a monolithic way,check more reviews here

Hej Ninja

Hej Ninja hail from Goteborg, Sweden and deliver a sick and emotional blending of crust, grind, screamo and even post rock. They formed in 2006 and they have released five cd-r's, most of them are sold out, their influences are His Hero is Gone, Isis, Mastodon, Cursed, Nasum, Tragedy, 1000 Travels of Jawaharlal and others. They offer three of their latest releases for free in their myspace. If you like a weird mixing of crust and grindcore elements with screamo-post rock with rough vocals then give it a try.

Folkeis-Demo 2008

Japanese d beat.As you guess,disregarding the bands name,Folkeis is a japanese band,and if not wrong,from the city of Osaka.This is a young band,that loves to play finnish/japanese d beat punk.This is self released demo put out by end of 2008,and contains 3 blistering tracks of pure d beat with some really nice solos thrown in,so even the influences may be directed to other bands,think this is still closest to Skitkids,especially track Helvette.All in all,this is a good start for these japanese guys.Enjoy!

Kolapso Do Systema-Chemi-kill demo 2008

Kolapso Do Systema or KxDx Systema come from Philippines,they formed in 2007 by former members of Fall Children/Faktory and Tra, Chemi-kill is their first demo, it was recorded in 2008 and delivers eight tracks of noisy raw hardcore with brutal vocals, Check their myspace and the lyrics, some of Chemikill tracks will appear in a 5 way split with Peace Or Annihillation(Indonesia), Discrusher(Malaysia) Devaluados(Venezuela) and Esporrro(Brazil)

Schizophasia-Sadists of the earth's inferno [demos #4 & 5]

These guys come from Ottawa, Canada and they already have a bunch of demos under their belt. We met them before in Nonsense tape from 2008, Sadists of.. is a tape released by Capitalicide Tapes and consists of the demos # 4 and 5. Side A is in the vein of Disorder and Confuse 's psychedelic noise punk while side B has an ambient-ish feeling, blending the noise punk with the psychedelic space sounds of Hawkwind.

Acephalix-Demo 2009

San Francisco's Acephalix,is a new crust band with people that play in bands as defiance,depressor,poison idea.8 tracks of crushing crustcore,sounding like some japanese crust mixed with newer anti cimex,and slashed with mettalic riffs and power vocals.Now this band has done some member changing since first time they played,and i think thats the reason that there isn't any female vocals on all the tracks,though i might be wrong.But anyway,this is the demo,and they have a new 7'' which contains some of these tracks,put out recently on prank records.Cheers!

War System is a band coming from west midlands U.K.This is a 4 member band playing crusty hc punk influenced by acts as Doom,Antisect,Discharge etc.The band is formed around 2007,and did released these 3 tracks around the same year,and have a new release called Incoming planned as 7''.So,english band playing crust punk with anti war lyrics,if you are a Doom fan,good chance you will like this.You can also check for band info here.

State Poison-Punk is Arrghh Demo 2007

State Poison is a french band coming from the city of Lyon,and play nice fuse of some japanese hc punk with quite a dose of noisiness.Not sure,but i think theres members in this band that have played in coche bomba and vomit for breakfast which are both powerviolence/grindcorish bands,but this is not close to that.Two guitars with total distorted punk tunes,hollow drumming in back,and add the screaming punk vocal along with the bass,and you get Gauze and Confuse style jap hc punk,plus need to mention that theres a GAI cover in this.This is their demo put out in 2007 and they recently put out another release,a st 7'' which is a bit different than this.You can find that release on indoneum bello records,or so some searching might help.Till then you can try out this demo and check their blog.

Gun Mob-Demo 2009

Gun Mob is a German band coming from the town of Mannheim.This is a five member band with dual guitars that play polverizing hc crust riffs that crash you like victims or wolfbrigade would do.Theres a female vocal in this band which makes it close to,im guessing shades of gray mixed with witch hunt.This is followed afcorse by vocal/guitar guy,giving the needed boost for the d beat going on in the behind.This demo is self released on cd in 2009.Dont put too much hopes in this unless youre a fan of the previously mentioned bands,but never the less this is a nice piece of hard d beat crustcore.Enjoi this german powerhouse.

Morkhimmel-demo 2008

Morkhimmel send their brutal greetings from Prague, Czech Republic, they formed in 2008 by members of Mass Genocide Process and Beton. This is their eight track demo that delivers a monstrous mix of D-beat crustcore and black metal, blending the Swedish discrust bands with the spirit of Dark Throne and early Samael and the usual Motorhead-ish feeling.
i think this is their only recorded material, they have a few new songs but not any official release, recently they toured in Scandinavia w Beton.

Panikliv-Demo 2009

Panikliv is a swedish hc punk band coming from Orebro.I noticed on their page that it says only two people play in this band,vocals and drums,so i guess friends or unconfirmed members are playing guitar and bass on this recording.Not that its bad,cause the 7 tracks sound quite solid.From start to end the tracks are filled with old swedish hc,kinda maybe softer version of Moderat Likvidation,with more accent on the hc than crust,with some tangling guitar parts.They have also mentioned nitad and sistasekunden as influences,though they do have way to get there.Still this was fun to listen.This is the demo called Modern Idioti put out in 2009 and they offer it on lastfm.Check for info on punkasfuck site and have fun.

Anatomi-71-Annu ett liv at helvete cdr demo 2003

Anatomi-71 formed in Kristinehamn, a small city in Sweden in 1999, in their early days they were a joke-band or a not-so-serious-band, they recorded several demos and some of them were released in a split w the absolutely unknown grindcore act Nemo from USA, then in 2001 things got more serious and they transformed into what they are today: A noisy D-Beat hardcore band
They have released a split w Radioskugga,(2005), the "Hej kom och hjälp mig " ep (2005) and a lp called You "Mot nya höjder " (2006), a new mini lp called "På giftets vingar " just came out, you can find their complete discography in their site and a bit more detailed biography in Punk As Fuck. Annu ett liv at helvete is one of the demos they recorded after they transformed into a D-beat act, it delivers rage and brutality in nine songs (incl. a Avskum cover) that hardly last over a minute. There are endless loads of noise, raging drum beats, noisy guitars and screamed/yelled vocals, the whole shit lasts for eleven minutes.

Delicje-Demo 2008

Just ignore the strange pink cover and focus to the music, this is an amazing demo: Delicje come from Warsaw, Poland and include members of LD50 and El Banda,this demo was recorded sometime in 2008 and delivers four tracks of melodic and powerful hardcore with female vocals reminding of Post Regiment and Kalashnikov from Italy. The lady who sings has excellent voice, there are some nice melodies and interesting guitar riffs and the use of keyboards in some parts works really nice. I don't know anything else about them, i m not into melodic punk but i can listen to these guys and girl again and again, unfortunately the whole thing lasts for only 8:30 minutes. The one and only bad thing here is the one minute crappy ambient intro..just skip it.

Il Male-Promo 2009

Il Male is an italian band,playing black metal influenced crust.I guess what most makes this band a mix of crust and some bm is the guitar riffs,which mostly remind of Iskra.Good thing maybe is the fact that there's not really boring parts in this,though its not something that stands out from the crowd.The vocals are good,the recording could be better,but its a first release anyway.This is a 2 track promo of the band which released this tracks plus other 8 as a demo in 2009.

Evidence Smrti-Demo CD

Evidence Smrti(or evidence of death) is a band that comes from Czech republic.This 4 guys play crushing raw metal crust.Completely dark atmosphere and heavy 9 tunes played in the manners of bands as After the Bombs.Simple vocal,which personally myself needed some time to get into it,reminds a bit of old Amebix,and gives these 9 tracks the needed backup which along with the lyrics makes this band what it is,apocalyptic dark crust punk band.This demo is self released on cd format in 2008.

VA-Asian Crust vol 2:Malaysia

Well, it took much time but finally here it is: the second part of Asian Crust comp's, this time with bands coming from Malaysia, (the first one was a compilation with Indonesian bands, here). Just like the first Asian Crust vol I, i don't know anything about the bands so i can't tell if these 37 songs represent the Malaysian scene. Anyway, the bands cover the hardcore, punk rock, crust and noise - grindcore territories (there 's even a blues punk track), most of them are unknown or less known in the rest world (or at least to me) and Apparatus the most widely known Malaysian band is not included, i guess Black Wings of Vengeance and Mass Separation are the most well known bands here. If you know anything about about a band or a report about the scene just drop a line, the comp. ended up in 37 bands, i d like to make it again in 40 but the file was already in 90 mb.. enjoy it!

Dödsfälla-Demo

Dödsfälla is a 4 member band and they come from Colorado,U.S.This is their demo self released around 2006,and contains 2 tracks of raw metal crust blended with some early swedish dis music,though they may vary in style on other releases,as lots of band member changing has happened.After this demo they did 2 tapes,raw penis tape and puke bag distort tape,good thing is they havent stopped and have a new lp on the way.Cheers!

Das Plague-st cd [2007]

Das Plague come from Spain and this is their cd released sometime in 2007, they formed in 2004 and recorded a two track demo that never come to light, in the end of 2006 they called it quits and members went on with Asedio, Heads And Heads and Carontte.
The cd delivers five tracks of dark crust, the bass is clear and the guitars deliver dark emotional melodies, the sound is clear and not distorted with nice leading and acoustic parts, the vocals are rough and fit nicely with the gloomy music. The whole thing is too much melodic and dark with less brutality and aggression. This is not a demo but an official released and the band offers it for free in their myspace.

Kazan-Demo 2006 & Kazan/After Taste-split cd

Kazan and After Taste are two sceamo/post hardcore bands from Dijon, France. Kazan formed in 2005 and one year later they recorded this demo, in 2008 they released a split cd with After Taste (from Dijon too) and recently a split tape with Downfall of a Gaia.
I don't know anythig else about them, their myspace and their official site have not any information, on the other hand After Taste has a few things on their myspace. The split cd is their first release
Music wise both bands are close to the vein of Anomie or Fingerprint, (actually i'm not into this genre and Fingerprint and Anomie are the only bands i know to play this type of hardcore), both bands have screaming vocals, emotional riffs, acoustic parts here and there while some experimental hints appear from time to time.
Kazan offer their demo for free in their site and the split demo is also free for downloading in the myspace of both bands

Wrath Cobra-ST Demo 12''

Wrath Cobra is an american crust band,they come from Pittsburgh,PA,and play great crust d beat,reminding a lot like Wolfbrigade.Two guitars playing nice crusty tunes,with some rock n roll and metal thrown in on solos,and nice screaming vocal,make the 4 tracks on this release sound quite powerfull.This is self realeased in end 2008 as 12'',and has a nice recording.
